Get Engaged

There is something for everyone.  Depending on your interest and availability there are a variety of ways to get involved with both North Shore Elementary and FNSE.

AT SCHOOL

  • Mentoring: Become a Lunch PAL, meeting with an identified student in need once a week for an hour.
  • Recess Monitor: Supervise students at recess alongside a faculty member.
  • Tutoring: Provide consistent academic support for students in small groups or one-on-one, meeting them where they and helping them accelerate to the next level.
  • Front Office Assistance: Help as needed in the front office with clerical and administrative duties.

WITH FNSE

  • Volunteer to be part of a Committee: All of our identified areas have smaller teams working to make them happen.  We are always looking for more interested and motivated people to join us.
  • Participate in monthly Executive Committee Meetings: The FNSE Executive Committee meets monthly to review progress and identify new areas of need.  New comers are welcomes to join us.
  • Host a Fundraiser/Friend-raiser:  Do you have a sphere of influence that would be interested in what we are doing?  Host a casual gathering where we can introduce ourselves and our mission and ask for financial support.
  • Connect us with your network:  Do you know an organization or an individual that we should know?  Help by making an introduction.
